Write to a persecuted Christian

Christians who are persecuted can easily feel alone. They need to feel that they are not forgotten. You can encourage them with a letter.

When Christie's father left the family, there was no longer When Christy’s father left the family, there was no longer enough money for her to go to school. Christy lives with her mother in Pakistan. When her father left them, the family could no longer afford the school fees, and Christy had to stop going to school. It was difficult to see her classmates continue while she herself had to stay home. She lost her courage and was embarrassed to have to explain why she no longer came to class. But with the support of the Danish European Mission’s donors, Christy can now go to school again. She is in the third grade and has regained confidence and the desire to learn. “Your help has not only supported my education, but has also given hope and relief to my mother,” she says. Thank you for your support. It makes a difference for children like Christy 🙌
Self-help assistance for poor priest families in S Self-help assistance for poor priest families in Sri LankaWhen pastor Augustin from Sri Lanka started as a photographer, he had neither the capital nor the necessary equipment. He used recycled materials to create backgrounds for photography. Through the Evangelical Alliance in Sri Lanka’s project, supported by the Danish European Mission’s donors and volunteers, he received financial start-up assistance, training, and guidance. “I went from running my business without a clear direction to working purposefully with planning and concrete goals,” he says. Gradually, Augustin was able to invest part of the profits in professional equipment. Today, he works, among other things, with photography, catering, and the rental of party equipment. The income has strengthened the family’s finances and made it possible to support his son’s education. Augustin has also been able to help his congregation. During the Cyclone Ditwah, he financed and distributed emergency aid packages to 12 families in the congregation. Thank you for your support. It helps priest families to be able to support themselves and help others 🙌
Iranian Christian woman sentenced to 13 years in prison Iranian Christian woman sentenced to 13 years in prison The relatives of Lida Alexani and her husband, Josef Shahbazian, are asking for prayers as Lida has been ordered to report to the Evin prison to serve a 13-year prison sentence. Her husband, Josef, is already serving a 16-year prison sentence in the same prison. Lida was arrested on April 12, 2025, and spent a month in isolation prison. She was released on bail on May 13, 2025. Lida was sentenced in October 2025 along with her husband and three convert Christian men and received a sentence of 13 years on charges of "deviant missions contrary to the holy religion of Islam" as well as for "assembly and conspiracy." The prison sentences that Lida, Joseph and the others received for their Christian activities amounted to over 70 years in total. Please ask that:•	All comfort God wants to encourage and strengthen Lida and her family in this time.•	The unjust judgments against Lida, Joseph, and the other Christians will be overturned, and the imprisoned will be released.•	Lida and Joseph will feel the presence of God during their time in prison and find opportunities to preach to those around them.•	The Iranian authorities will stop violating the rights of their own citizens.
Thank you very much for your support for Ukraine Ukraine is worthy Thank you very much for your support for UkraineUkraine is under heavy attacks right now. The leader of the local relief team supported by Danish European Mission donors says that missiles are hitting the city of Poltava, where they are working not far from the front line. There are also explosions from attack drones hitting their targets. But despite the challenges, the relief work continues at this time. Looking back at 2025, Danish European Mission donors ensured that 367 electric blankets, 350 gas burners for cooking, 2 bread ovens and 5,522 bags of food could be distributed to families in need in Ukraine. In addition, Christian literature was also offered to people who wanted it. In total, 11,596 people were helped in Ukraine in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions near the front line. This is one of many examples of how Danish European Mission volunteers and donors are helping to make a tangible difference in the world. Thank you for your support🙌
Christian man's home and shop set on fire in Pakistan Christian man's home and shop set on fire in Pakistan after blasphemy accusationKamran Masih is 40 years old, father of three, and ran a small pharmacy in the village of Gharial Kalan in Punjab, Pakistan. On October 9, 2026, people from a crowd set fire to his home and shop. The day before, he had been arrested after accusations of sharing a video on WhatsApp, which the prosecutors called blasphemous. Over 35 Christian families fled the village out of fear of violence. The police intervened and prevented attacks on the properties of other Christians. According to a Christian politician, over 15 people were arrested after the arson. Do you want to join in praying for Kamran Masih and the families who have had to leave their homes? 🙏Read the full article in the comment field 👇Archive photo: Christians demonstrate in Peshawar, Pakistan on August 17, 2023 against the attacks on churches in Jaranwala. Dear Father, Thank you for your peace does not depend on Dear Father, Thank you for your peace that does not depend on everything around us being calm. When we become afraid or discouraged, remind us that you are close to us. Give us your peace in the midst of what we cannot control, and help us to place our worries in your hands. Amen🙏
