One of the girls at Egehuset is called Milana. She is 18 years old and is now studying to be an English teacher. "I was put in an orphanage when I was 4 years old. My father died early and my mother was an alcoholic. My sister looked after me until the authorities found out the truth and we were sent to an orphanage. I lived there until I was 16."

"I heard about Egehuset through a friend, and I was really happy when I was allowed to live here. Here I have the opportunity to develop myself while I'm studying. The best thing is that I have met Jesus here at Egehuset and he is now in my life and I get to know God through the Bible."

"I am very grateful for this home, for the community and the kind and loving staff," says Milana.
