But thanks to support from the donors of the Danish European Mission, she can get back to school for Christy from Pakistan.

“My name is Christy and I am in the third grade. I live with my mother, who has faced great challenges after my father left us. Therefore, it became impossible for us to pay my school fees, and I had to interrupt my schooling.”

“It was difficult for me to have to leave school. Especially when I saw my classmates continuing their schooling every day. The situation was not only financially taxing but also emotionally challenging, as I felt hopeless about my future and embarrassed to have to explain why I could no longer participate in the lessons.”

“Fortunately, during this difficult time I heard about the school project that offers to pay school fees for children from poor families. Returning to school has restored my self-confidence and motivation. I can now go to school and work towards future education.”

I felt embarrassed to have to explain why I could no longer participate in the teaching, says Christy from Pakistan.
