Write to a persecuted Christian

Christians who are persecuted can easily feel alone. They need to feel that they are not forgotten. You can encourage them with a letter.

17.8 million Yemenis do not have access to basic 17.8 million Yemenis do not have access to basic medical care. According to UNICEF, 17.8 million Yemenis lacked access to basic medical care in 2025. The Danish European Mission’s intercessors and donors support local Christians in providing medical care to the poor and vulnerable, regardless of political and religious background. Treatments include cholera, malaria, tuberculosis, child malnutrition, diabetes, and heart disease, among others. The project also features a laboratory. Four times a year, mobile medical consultations are held where 100 people receive free medical check-ups, free laboratory tests, and free medicine if needed. Will you help support local Christians' medical care for the poor and vulnerable in Yemen? When Adnan became a Christian, his wife demanded a divorce When Adnan became a Christian, his wife demanded a divorce. He was disinherited and lost his car, shop, and home - and was not allowed to see his son. Adnan, as we call him for security reasons, grew up as a Muslim in northern Yemen and joined the Houthi army at an early age. After several years of war and killing, he left the battlefield. He later began researching Christianity on the internet and came into contact with Christians on social media. The Sermon on the Mount made a profound impression on him, and after a dream, he gave his life to Jesus. This had major consequences. Adnan was imprisoned, his wife demanded a divorce, and he lost contact with his son, as well as his home, shop, car, and inheritance. When he continued to hold onto his Christian faith after his release, he eventually had to flee Yemen. Today, he still misses his son, but says: ”I don't know if life will ever be easy, or if I will ever see my son and family again. But the Lord has given me a spiritual family, and he is my heavenly Father.”

Even before the civil war, Yemen was one of the poorest countries in the world, and since 2015, the war has caused great suffering. But God has not forgotten Yemen. Quietly, the church of converts is growing. At the turn of the millennium, there were fewer than ten known Christian converts. Today, the number is estimated to be around 10,000. Becoming a Christian can have major consequences. Christian converts risk imprisonment and conflicts with their families, among other things. Despite this, Christian converts help their fellow citizens in need, including through medical assistance, and they bring hope to people struggling with illness and suffering. Will you join in praying for the sprouting church of converts in Yemen?
For 25 years ago, Nasrin sat in a women's prison in Ce 25 years ago, Nasrin was sitting in a women's prison in Central Asia. She had a leadership status among the inmates because she sold drugs, was violent, and made threats. When there were festive events, she was sent to isolation so there wouldn't be any trouble. Christian women came to the prison and taught. Nasrin did not want anything to do with them and mocked them instead. Yet, she became more and more curious about what the Christian women were teaching. One day they were gathered under the open sky in the courtyard for teaching. Nasrin stood by the wall because she was waiting for a delivery of drugs. When the teaching was over and they had all left, a Christian woman came over to Nasrin. The woman prayed for her, and it turned out to change Nasrin. She experienced a light that was both warm and pleasant, but also exposed the darkness in her life. She knelt that same evening and accepted Jesus as her savior. It was the last day the Christian women visited the prison, and it turned out that it would change Nasrin's life🌱
