Tony Bedros and his son Fadi Bedros, who are Christians, were killed in Syrian military attacks on Alawites from March 6 to 10.

This weekend has been the bloodiest in a decade in Syria. Berlingske quotes the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying that at least 1,000 people have so far lost their lives in the attacks, including at least 745 civilians.

The attackers are the Syrian military, fighting Alawite militias but also targeting a disproportionate number of civilians. There are reports of indiscriminate killings of civilians. Syria's former leader of 24 years, Bashar al-Assad, belongs to the Shia Alawite group.

Among the dead in Latakia are also Christians, including the father Tony Bedros and his son Fadi Bedros. However, the number of Christians who have lost their lives is very limited.
