Timothy's parents didn't have the money to send their children to school

Timothy explains how he and his sisters are now attending a Christian independent school in Pakistan.

"My father has a job at a local factory and he is a very hardworking man. Even when he comes back from the factory in the evening, he doesn't rest but starts selling guava fruit close to our house."

So says Timothy from Pakistan. In Pakistan, many Christians choose biblical names, hence Timothy. He is 6 years old and has just started school.

"My father wants to fulfill all our wishes, but we can barely meet our basic needs. We didn't go to school because it was difficult for my father to pay our school fees and buy the things we need for school. One day, my father told me about a school near us where someone was willing to send us to school and pay all the costs. We were very happy to hear that. Now we are in school and are happy to get an education."

Daud had to find food in trash piles

Daud wants to become a doctor, wants to treat the poor and take care of his mother.

At the beginning of their marriage, Daud's mother and father lived happily together. But Daud's father was an alcoholic and beat Daud's mother. Four months before Daud's birth, his father left his mother due to domestic tensions and now his mother lives alone.

Daud's mother let him stay with his elderly grandmother and aunt, who did not take good care of him. As a result, Daud sometimes had to find food in garbage piles outside the house.

In 2023, Daud's mother sent him to a combined orphanage and school where he receives food, care and education. Daud is very bright and excels in school. Mission improvers and donors pay Daud's school fees so he and other children can go to school and fulfill their dreams.
