Priest Dmitry talks about the situation in Ukraine Right now. ”It's winter and cold here, and the district heating system in Poltava is destroyed. The gas stove can barely burn, and we only have one hour of electricity and water every five hours. So it's cold in people's homes, and everyone is trying to manage within the one hour that there's electricity. Everything is increasing in price right now because it's expensive to keep generators running. So life is hard for everyone!”.
The Church's aid team continues to help the many war refugees every week, distributing bags of food, electric heating blankets, and gas cylinders with cooking burners.
Dmitry continues: ”This past Saturday, we saw half of the recipients of aid unable to hold back tears. One woman said, ‘You are saving us at this time, because we have nothing, and we are starving and freezing.’ Another woman said, ‘You are extending my hope for life! Thank you, thank you very much!’”
