Pray for Christians and other minorities in Syria

Will history repeat itself in Syria in 2014?

In 2014, the Islamic State seized land in Syria and Iraq. Christians and other minorities had to flee areas where they had typically lived for generations. Some remained in the Islamic State where their freedom of belief was severely restricted.

Danish mission advocates and donors ensured that Christians and other minorities on the run could receive emergency aid.

Is history repeating itself now? The Islamic terrorist group, Tahrir al-Sham, is currently seizing land in Syria. The government-controlled area, where Christians have enjoyed relative freedom, is falling into the hands of the terrorist group.

We have not yet received reports of Islamic terrorist groups physically attacking Christians, which is good.

But if the Assad regime falls, Christians and other minorities find themselves in a new situation at the mercy of extremist Islamists.

Thank you for praying for Christians and other minorities on the run.
