God is doing great things in Iran today. Thousands are coming to faith in Jesus during this time and being set free from the bonds that previously bound them. The revival is so strong that a conservative estimate says there are now hundreds of thousands of Christians in Iran who have converted from Islam. Some scholars say that the church in Iran is the fastest growing church in the world. This revival is taking place despite the fact that the new believers may face great persecution because of their choice.

One of the new Christians is Arvin. Growing up as a child in Iran, Arvin's father let him get away with anything. But even though he was given everything he wanted, Arvin constantly struggled with anxiety.

By the time he was a teenager, Arvin was living an immoral life: stealing regularly, swearing constantly and abusing drugs and alcohol. As his abuse increased, his life began to go downhill and his relationships with others became strained.

During four years at university, Arvin began selling drugs to support his addiction and became increasingly self-destructive. His relationship with his family was now in ruins, so he decided to move to a neighboring country to start over.

But the pain came with it.

Shortly after his arrival in the new country, Arvin's mother and all his siblings called him from Iran and told him he was dead in their eyes - he had made too many mistakes.

Arvin became deeply depressed and contemplated how he could commit suicide. In an attempt to forget his pain, he went to a nightclub on a Thursday night. To his surprise, he found himself standing in front of a church where there was an evening meeting. The friendly people from the church greeted him and invited him to join the meeting. For some reason, Arvin felt encouraged to say yes and he went in. The love he encountered from many of the church members began to take root in his heart.

Over time, the genuine love of the church helped him discover the love of Christ. After coming to faith in Christ, his anxiety was replaced by a deep peace. Today, Arvin is healed from his addiction and serves the Lord with all his heart.

You can ensure that even more people in Iran can hear the Gospel so they can come to faith in Jesus, receive forgiveness for all sin and experience God's love. It costs 40 kr. to give a copy of the New Testament to an Iranian. Thank you for reaching out to seekers in Iran at this time.
