The elderly woman lives in a country where the authorities do everything they can to prevent people from getting a Bible. Not even a priest, who is currently serving a sentence of several years in prison, wrongfully convicted on false charges, is allowed to have a Bible in prison.
We Christians in the West do not experience the same challenges as these Christians. We can often have several copies of the Bible on our bookshelves. And if we want a specific Bible translation, we can easily go to a bookstore - on the street or online - and find exactly the Bible we want.
Bold older lady
In the country where the elderly woman lives, Christians have to work very creatively to share the message of the Bible with their fellow human beings. The elderly woman writes Bible verses in notebooks. She has written many notebooks and when she visits family members, she always reads from these notebooks.
When family members ask her where the words come from, she tells them about Jesus and says she can make a copy for them.
If her fellow humans become interested in reading more than what's in the notebooks, she provides them with smuggled Bible parts.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this important project. Human lives are literally changed by reading the Bible. Christians have the opportunity to be edified and strengthened in their faith. At the same time, they can pass on the vital message of the Bible to their fellow countrymen who have not yet heard the message that they can be justified, have fellowship with the Father and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
* I can't write which country she lives in because if the authorities find out about the work, they will do everything they can to stop it.
