Iranian convert Christian woman, Aida Najaflou, is in a very precarious situation. Aida was arrested on February 15, 2025 and has been detained for over three months. She is being held in Ward 209 of the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran, where many political prisoners are held. This is according to the Danish European Mission's partner Middle East Concern.

Aida and her family are unable to pay the very high bail of the equivalent of 855,432 Danish kroner for her temporary release. This is according to Human Rights in Iran (HRANA).

She has been through a series of interrogations and is accused of "acting against national security" and "propaganda against the regime"

Pray that:

  • May God comfort and strengthen Aida and her family
  • That Aida may soon be released
  • That Iran will stop repressing convert Christians and other dissidents.

Currently, at least 11 Iranian Christians are serving prison sentences in Iran. Danish European Mission's intercessors and donors ensure that families can receive support for food, medical care, and support to cover the costs of rent, water and electricity. Through the Danish European Mission, between 2011 and 2024, Danes have ensured that 217,051 copies of the New Testament have been printed, smuggled and distributed in Iran and imported into neighboring countries.
