Before the war, the young people who now volunteer in the relief project worked with children with disabilities. They told them about God, held services for them, organized special events and became true friends to them. When the war began, the phone rangmany of these individuals and asked for help. The young people were grateful to be able to continue serving their friends with disabilities in a practical way.

One of the callers was the mother Jefgenia, who takes care of her disabled daughter alone. The girl's name is Nastja. Young Christians visited the family to help them with food, encourage them and give them a Christian magazine. This magazine contains verses from the Bible that give hope and faith for a better future. They prayed with the women. Jefgenia couldn't hold back the tears of gratitude. She wanted to treat the young volunteers to tea and offered some small treats that she had saved. She wanted to show her gratitude, at least in a small way. Nastja also kept smiling, she was happy about the visit and the care that the Christian volunteers showed her.

These visits and help are very important and encouraging for people in need. At times like these, it's not even physical help that makes a difference, although that is also very important. It is the time, encouraging words, prayer, special support and caring and serving hearts that bring people closer to God, give them hope, revive their wounded hearts and show God's love in a tangible way.
