Felix Rejser, in collaboration with the Danish European Mission, is organizing a holiday trip to Sri Lanka from 28 October to 12 November 2018. The country is rich in white sandy beaches, and you can go on safari and see elephants and tigers. The country has been known for centuries for its tea, which is grown on around 500 plantations, and on the tour there are visits to these tea plantations

The trip will also include meetings with Sri Lankan Christians and the opportunity to experience the rich church life in the country. Years ago, churches were burned down and Christians were subjected to violent attacks, but in recent years conditions for Christians have i Sri Lanka has improved, and it is therefore safe to visit the country and meet the local Christians. Danish European Mission has worked i Sri Lanka since 2011, and ours donors have ensured that many Christians who are so poor that they cannot afford a Bible have received a BibleIn the same way that poor pastors have gotten help with Self-help.

We have received testimonies from local pastors about the great difference the Bibles sponsored by Danish European Mission donors make to local Christians.

Pastor Harsha Dhanushka tells us

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing us with Bibles. Providing Bibles in these remote areas is an important task. I hope and pray that the distribution will be a great success and that through it we will be able to better spread the Word of God.

The church began its ministry 15 years ago and we are currently working to spread the Word of the Lord in very remote areas. Most of the believers in the area are farmers and they cannot afford to buy a Bible. This gift has truly been a blessing to them. Thank you, thank you!

Pastor K.J.R Jayatissa says

First of all, I would like to say thank you for the Bibles, which we desperately need. Through our ministry, which began 20 years ago, we have never before received such an amazing gift. Therefore, I would like to thank the donors who paid for the Bibles and also the Evangelical Alliance in Sri Lanka who distributed the Bibles. Thank you again and may God bless you!
