God melted away Iranian Majeed's bitterness

One of the many Iranians who have experienced freedom and new life in Jesus is Majeed. Throughout his childhood, Majeed's parents had an unstable relationship and his childhood home was characterized by arguments and strife.

When he was 14 years old, his parents divorced and Majeed developed into a depressed, bitter young man. He had so many questions he wanted God to answer: why had God allowed his family to fall apart? Why were some families happy when his own was so unhappy? He struggled with his bitter feelings.

Then one day Majeed had an accident and was hospitalized. While he was in the hospital, one of his aunts came to visit him. To his surprise, she handed him a book. "You have plenty of time to read while you are here," she said, "so read this." She began to tell him more, and Majeed realized that his aunt was a Christian and that the book she had given him was the Bible.

After she left, he reluctantly opened the Bible and started reading it. There was something about what he was reading that moved him and made him curious.

So when he was released from the hospital, he went to the house church that met in his aunt's home. He didn't believe the gospel right away, but he came back every week for a year.

The bitterness and anger in his heart gradually disappeared as he experienced the love in the church and how they cared for each other. Now Majeed was finally ready for God to take away his bitterness and anger.

From the moment he started praying, he felt God stirring something deep in his heart. His bitterness melted away and Majeed found joy in following Jesus. Today, many years later, Majeed and his wife serve God together.

You can ensure that even more people in Iran can hear the Gospel so they can come to faith in Jesus, receive forgiveness for all sin and experience God's love. It costs 40 kr. to give a copy of the New Testament to an Iranian. Thank you for reaching out to seekers in Iran at this time.
