Like a bolt from the blue, teenager Mohsen loses his father. Depressed, he searches in vain for meaning and truth in Buddhism, Hinduism and Zoroastrianism. Although he searches, he doesn't find what he needs most. "Soon I indulged in sin and lost all hope. One day I was arrested in a brothel and sentenced to several lashes. The judge asked me if I wanted the lashes to be administered little by little or all at once. I asked for all the lashes at the same time. I felt that I deserved to be punished," says Mohsen.

Jesus gives meaning and truth

"A few years later I met a Christian and things started to change. After reading the New Testament, I felt a peace come over my heart and I saw that Jesus was the meaning and truth I had been searching for all this time," Mohsen continues. Driven by his newfound faith, Mohsen began sharing God's Word with others. He says: "Just a few days after I gave my heart to Jesus, I was out sharing God's Word with others: I wanted others to find what I had found."

 Arrest does not stop Mohsen

As a Christian, Mohsen has to pay the price that many other Iranian Christians have paid before him. He was arrested and detained by the police for actively sharing his faith. Mohsen says: "Years later, I was arrested again - this time for sharing my faith with others - and detained for some time. In the time after my arrest, I was a little nervous at first to continue my ministry, but the Lord gave me courage. So I continued to reach out to seekers and train believers..".

The joy, gratitude and excitement of Iranian Christians to experience salvation and forgiveness is so great that they must share it with others, even if the cost is high. You can help ensure that even more Iranians have access to God's Word and find meaning and truth in their lives. It costs 40 kr. to give an Iranian the New Testament in Farsi. Thank you for supporting Bible smuggling to Iranian Christians.
