Disabled children
Lene Bagatava from Kazakhstan says: "Unfortunately, myself and three of our children are disabled. Our eldest daughter Raija is mute and cannot speak. Our daughter Masha has undergone two heart operations and our son Aleksander lacks feeling in his fingers. I myself have problems with my internal organs, which means I can't work normally, among other things.
The white bags are a great help
We receive weekly help from the church in the form of the so-called "white bags", as people call them here. These are large carrier bags with food and other good things. This is really a very big help for us, as my small pension and my husband's salary do not cover our needs.
God and the Bible
My sister-in-law, Christina Ushakova, is a Christian and she goes to church. Before she married my husband's brother, she was actually my childhood friend. So we've known each other all our lives and I'm very fond of her. It's amazing what has happened in her life, and I have to say that God and the Bible have also started to speak to me.
Great respect for Marina
I think it's really good, the work they do, and my children have started coming to church. They really like it, they say. I haven't been to a church meeting myself yet, but I have a lot of respect for what they do, and I really like the employees who are responsible for the social aid work (which Danish European Mission finances, ed.).
Tak
So I would like to say a big thank you from our family. Yes, a big thank you to everyone who helps.
Sincerely, the Bagatava family
You can ensure that other poor families in Kazakhstan can get white bags. Not only will hungry people be fed, but hopelessness can be replaced with hope and faith in the future.
