Pray for North Korea

On December 17, 2011, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il died. His son, 27-year-old Kim Jung-un, is expected to become the new leader.

He is said to have a ruthless personality. This could mean that he may want to tighten the strict iron grip that the population in general - and thus Christians in particular - are already trapped in.

We can pray for the Christians in the country, for 'all in high places' (1 Timothy 2:2-3) and that society will develop to be healthy and just.

What does the Danish European Mission do?

The Danish European Mission provides medicine to the persecuted Christians in North Korea and emergency aid and Bibles to North Koreans fleeing the regime. In addition, stateless children in China who have been abandoned by their North Korean mothers due to deportation to North Korea receive care and support.
