Since Iranian Nasser Ghorbani fled to Turkey seven years ago, he has not had a job for more than a year. His colleagues have always asked him at one point or another why he didn't go to the mosque on Fridays and eventually discovered that he had converted to Christianity.

No violence has ever been committed against him before, but on 22.05.09 a colleague tried to force him to go to the mosque and he had to tell him that he was a Christian. At the end of the day, a truck driver knocked him out. He woke up covered in dirt and one eye was swollen shut. His whole body ached. "I've always had problems at work because I'm a Christian, but never anything like this," Ghorbani said. The boss fired the truck driver, expressed satisfaction with Ghorbani's work, but told him to look for another job.

The truck driver threatened to kill Ghorbani and was willing to go to jail for it.
