A Uyghur Christian, Osman Imin, arrested 19.11.07 is still imprisoned, accused of "leaking state secrets." In the Chinese documents, Osman is named - Wusiman Yaming.

Another Uyghur Christian arrested earlier this year is still imprisoned.

At a trial in the Xinjian capital Urumqi, in February this year, court judges dismissed charges of "illegal business conduct" against Zhou Heng, a Han Chinese Christian and manager of Yayi Christian Book Room, a registered bookstore. He was jailed in August 07 for receiving a shipment of illegally printed Bibles.

Zhou was beaten by both guards and fellow prisoners. He was denied a lawyer for "national security reasons". But international protests prompted the state to provide him with a lawyer in September 07. In November 07, the court statement read that "after review and multiple investigations, the State Prosecutor believes that the sentence for the crime issued by the Public Security Bureau of Ürümqi Municipality in Shayibake District is not based on clear facts and insufficiently proven, so it was decided not to prosecute Zhou Heng."
