Write to a persecuted Christian

Christians who are persecuted can easily feel alone. They need to feel that they are not forgotten. You can encourage them with a letter.

Despite war and poverty, the underground church is growing in Despite war and poverty, the underground church in Yemen is growing. 25 years ago, there were perhaps at most ten native Yemenites who had converted to the Christian faith. Today, the underground church is estimated at around 10,000 convert Christians. ”Many Yemenites have a deep spiritual longing that is only fulfilled when they meet the Jesus of the Bible,” says Bedros, who is the project manager for the Danish European Mission's project in Yemen. Many new Christians have stood alone and initially believed they were the only Christians in the country. Today, Christians meet in secret fellowships, and for the first time, three generations have been seen gathered in the same room for a church service. ”We say that only Jesus can do this, as we are brothers and sisters in Him,” says Bedros. Will you join in praying for Yemen? 🙏 🙏
Samuel, Anders, and Gustav from the Danish European Mission r Samuel, Anders, and Gustav from the Danish European Mission are currently traveling in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Because of prayer and support from Danmark, local Christians can reach out, make a positive difference, and share God's love in Jesus. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the church was almost exclusively represented by Russian Christian minorities. Today, the number of Christians with Kazakh and Kyrgyz backgrounds can be counted in the thousands. Thank you so much for praying for the church in Central Asia, even where it experiences pressure.

17.8 million Yemenis do not have access to basic 17.8 million Yemenis do not have access to basic medical care. According to UNICEF, 17.8 million Yemenis lacked access to basic medical care in 2025. The Danish European Mission’s intercessors and donors support local Christians in providing medical care to the poor and vulnerable, regardless of political and religious background. Treatments include cholera, malaria, tuberculosis, child malnutrition, diabetes, and heart disease, among others. The project also features a laboratory. Four times a year, mobile medical consultations are held where 100 people receive free medical check-ups, free laboratory tests, and free medicine if needed. Will you help support local Christians' medical care for the poor and vulnerable in Yemen? When Adnan became a Christian, his wife demanded a divorce When Adnan became a Christian, his wife demanded a divorce. He was disinherited and lost his car, shop, and home - and was not allowed to see his son. Adnan, as we call him for security reasons, grew up as a Muslim in northern Yemen and joined the Houthi army at an early age. After several years of war and killing, he left the battlefield. He later began researching Christianity on the internet and came into contact with Christians on social media. The Sermon on the Mount made a profound impression on him, and after a dream, he gave his life to Jesus. This had major consequences. Adnan was imprisoned, his wife demanded a divorce, and he lost contact with his son, as well as his home, shop, car, and inheritance. When he continued to hold onto his Christian faith after his release, he eventually had to flee Yemen. Today, he still misses his son, but says: ”I don't know if life will ever be easy, or if I will ever see my son and family again. But the Lord has given me a spiritual family, and he is my heavenly Father.”
