Iran
Printing and distribution of 16,170 copies of the New Testament in Iran and neighboring countries where Iranians live. 50 Christian prisoners of conscience and their families received legal advice and assistance, as needed, for purchasing food and paying bills while a mother or father was in prison and unable to contribute financially to the family household.
Libya
Comfort and counseling for persecuted Christians, including in situations of intense persecution. The Gospel is shared with many thousands via digital platforms. Spiritually seekers can get answers to their questions, and fellowship is created for new believers who are discipled in the faith. Self-help assistance for poor Christian converts.
Pakistan
Schooling for 202 children from poor Christian families as well as a few children with another minority background. In addition, two rooms in a church building have been renovated.
North Korea
Medicine was brought to persecuted North Korean Christians as well as other vulnerable people. Likewise, four North Koreans have been helped to reach a safe third country.
Ukraine
367 electric blankets, 350 gas cooking burners, 2 bread-baking ovens, and 5,522 bags of food were distributed to needy families. In addition, Christian literature was offered to people who wanted it. A total of 11,596 people were helped in Ukraine in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions near the front line. Furthermore, a church received help to celebrate Easter.
Turkey
Leadership training for five native leadership aspirants for the convert church, so that native Turkish Christians can take on leadership responsibility. Support for summer camps, in which 400 children and young people participated. Work on planting four congregations in cities where there are no churches. Support for Kanal Hayat and SAT7 Türk as well as a guest house for local Christians in need of a temporary place to stay.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
Distribution of 2,835 bags of hope (food) to the poor through three churches. 127 leaders received local theological education at the diploma, bachelor, and master's levels, respectively. Two summer camps for children in vulnerable and dysfunctional families, as well as a camp for children with disabilities.
Kyrgyzstan
Support for a Christian shelter for vulnerable women.
Sri Lanka
Seven poor vicarage families received help to start a business, the profits of which can contribute to the family household. The project is monitored by the Danish European Mission's external expert in self-help projects.
Egypt
Church planting among poor migrants. Spiritually seekers can meet informally with a mature Christian and talk about faith. Individuals who want to become Christians can meet for Bible study and be discipled in the Christian faith.
Yemen
Development and planning of a project in close cooperation with Middle Eastern Christians, where the poor and vulnerable in war-torn Yemen can receive medical assistance. Funds are being raised for the project in 2026.
India
Salary for a Christian employee who shows care to those in need, provides pastoral care, and shares the gospel. With support from the Danish European Mission, Bjarne Gertz Olsen, among other things, taught 84 Indian pastors and 81 Sunday school leaders in basic theological subjects and children's work.
Secret projects in Central Asia
In some countries, the number of Christians is small, and if we write about our work in those countries, local intelligence services or, even worse, extremist forces could see where the locals receive support from.
- In one of the world's most closed countries, 187 sick and persecuted Christians and other vulnerable people have received medicine and financial support for medical treatment.
- Christmas aid for 300 poor children in a church, in the form of bags with fruit, nuts and other types of healthy candy. A festive children's program was made with songs, games, Christmas plays, and the telling of the Christmas gospel.
- Church planting and Bible teaching in areas where there are no churches. Marriage courses, men's seminars, and camps for children and youth in a country with only very few native Christians.
- Establishment of six Bible study groups on the border of Afghanistan.
- Bible-based courses for 3,833 inmates in prisons. In addition, local Christians have pastoral conversations with the inmates.
- 179 women who have been subjected to human trafficking, domestic violence, or have been trapped in prostitution, have received help to self-help. As needed, the women received spiritual care to process trauma, as well as legal aid. In addition, seminars are held for the police, public employees, and school students so that society's view of women can be changed.
