I have heard many wild stories and testimonies from Christians over the years, and especially among persecuted Christians, I have been able to hear how God sometimes intervenes visibly. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have these amazing experiences and great miracles that God can do.

This wonder can often diminish my own boldness and trust in God and I forget how great and almighty God is. As Christians - persecuted and non-persecuted - we must encourage each other and remember that it is the same God we believe in around the world. That the same God I hear doing great wonders elsewhere in the world is also working and doing great things here in Danmark.

When we lose heart, we must remember what Jesus has done for us and remember how mighty and strong God is. We can always find rest and strength by looking at the cross. Jesus says so in the Gospel of John 16:33:

"Thus have I spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Jesus has not promised us a life without hardship - on the contrary, he has prepared us that we will face opposition because we believe in him. We must remember that Jesus has already won the battle against evil. We must believe that, no matter what challenges or persecution we face. Whether we visibly see him intervene or not.
