On the night of Monday, February 6 and Monday afternoon 2023, powerful earthquakes hit southern Turkey. Hundreds were killed.

Right now, a priest and a staff member supported financially by the Danish European Mission are traveling in western Turkey, not far from the area where one of the earthquakes took place.

They have tried, but have not yet made contact with Turkish Christians they know from the area, including in Antakya, Gaziantep and Iskenderun. Therefore, they ask for prayer.

Christian radio in southeast Turkey

In southeastern Turkey, the Danish European Mission's improvers and donors have ensured that a Christian radio station could be established in 2019.

In an interview, the station manager explains: Although there is a border in the middle of the region we ship to in southeastern Turkey and northern Syria, it is important to ship to Syria as well, as many travel back and forth across the border. They need to hear the truth from God's word. As far as we know, there are no Christian FM radio stations in Syria. This war-torn area desperately needs to hear the hope of the gospel."
