Nasser was unexpectedly pardoned and released from prison on October 17 after serving half of a 10-year sentence in Evin prison for "acting against national security by forming and establishing illegal house churches." This according to Danish European Mission's partner Middle East Concern.
In the month of August 2021 Saheb released this video on Nasser's birthday, where she called for his release. "He has already spent four years in prison. What was his crime? For God's sake, release him! ... I am very lonely. Anyone who can do something for him, please do it. Free Nasser."
Nasser's friends thank God that Sahab was able to rejoice that her son was released last month and that Nasser and Sahab were able to spend the last few weeks of her life together. They ask for prayer that the God of all comfort will be with Nasser and his family during this challenging time and guide Nasser for the future.
