Andrew Brunson is coming to Danmark
Norine and Andrew Brunson are coming to Danmark in July to speak at two Bible camps. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only permanent residents of these Bible campsites can attend the meetings, but others can watch one of the meetings on Youtube on Sunday, July 25 at 19:30. The link to the meeting is at the bottom of this article.
Norine and Andrew are invited by the Danish European Mission, who published Andrew's book, God's Hostage, in Danish, where he talks about his time in prison.
Andrew Brunson had been a missionary in Turkey for 23 years when he unwittingly became a hostage in a grand political scheme between Turkey and the US. He was wrongfully imprisoned for two years in Turkish jail on false charges of espionage, terrorism and arms smuggling before he was finally released in October 2018.
At one point, Andrew was in a cell with 20 radical Muslims and in solitary confinement. Here he went through a deep crisis of faith where he couldn't sense God's presence, doubted and approached mental illness. But through it all, he began to see the contours of God's plan and see his intervention.
