Prayer can change Turkey

When I was young, I was On an intercessory prayer tour til Turkey. It was a huge experience that left a deep mark on my life. SAlong with few others traveled I around the country for just under two months, meeting local Christians and missionaries and asking, what we should pray for in their city and region. The prayer was at the request of local Turkish Christians who felt there was work to be done in prayer, in secret, before evangelization would bear fruit.

Since then, I have followed Turkey on the sidelines and heard again and again about great missionary efforts through two Christian TV stations in Turkish, which the Danish European Mission also supports, Bible translations, book publications and many foreign missionaries. Yet the number of ethnic Turks who had converted from Islam to the Christian faith remained, for many years of around 40005000. The story goes that many Turks over the years was Christian, but that they fell from the faith again due to extensive pressure from family, friends and communities.

It is therefore extremely gratifying to hear about the latest developments, that the number of converts By all accounts is now over 6000. They have started looking for alternatives - also in the Christian faith.

In recent years, a number of foreign missionaries have been expelled. This means that Turkish Christians now have to take more responsibility for missions in their own country, which is healthy in a way. They are the ones who have taken the initiative to plant new churches and we want to support them in that.

But most of all, prayers are still needed for Turkey. Thank you for praying for Turkey, Churches, the countrys Christians, the government and all The inhabitants. God can lead us in prayer and use our prayer to Nations can be changed and people can experience Hans love By faith in Jesus as their savior.
