Psalm 84:6-8 says: Happy are the people who have their strength in you, those who intend to go on pilgrimage. When they pass through the valley of Baka, they turn it into a fountain, the autumn rains shroud it in blessing. They go from strength to strength and see God on Zion.

Unfortunately, it is sometimes easier for us to see God's hand in miracles when things are going well than in hardships and difficulties. In my life, there have been several stages of trials that seemed difficult that I had to walk through with the Lord. There have been times of persecution of our church, threats from extreme Muslims, and times of sickness and loss.

The year 2011 was a very difficult time for our family. The church and we experienced persecution from the authorities, and at the same time I became seriously ill.For more than six months, doctors could not diagnose my illness and my body completely collapsed. No medicine could help me. For a whole year, various specialists could not make a diagnosis.

During that period I lost about 30 kilos, so that in the end I only weighed about 40 kg. I was practically skin and bones! In a hospital, the doctors finally realized that I had a very rare disease and they started treating me and I slowly got better.

My husband and I had been praying to the Lord for years to have a child but with no results, but while I was in the hospital one day the doctor said "You are pregnant!". All the doctors said, "You will have to abort because the baby may have birth defects"!

But inside me I had such a deep peace, and I really believed that God would work a miracle. So I said "no"! The pregnancy was very difficult and I had to undergo many tests, but in 2012 I gave birth to our beautiful daughter, who was well formed and completely normal, and she is a ray of sunshine in our lives.

"I have experienced many trials over the years, but through this trial, my trust in God has grown even deeper"

I have experienced many trials over the years, but through this trial my trust in God has grown even deeper. Since then, I have also experienced various trials, also in service to the Lord, but this experience has had such a strong effect on my life that nothing has been able to shake me.
