Daniel came to faith in Christ as a young man in Iran. When his father found out, he forced David to move. "But I want to be with you," Daniel protested. "You are unclean. You need to move," his father replied.
However, Daniel held on to his faith. He was trained by the Danish European Mission's partner, Elam, and distributed more than 2000 copies of the New Testament inside Iran before he was arrested. When he was released from prison, his relationship with his father deteriorated. His father said: "You are a disgrace. I want you to leave Iran". So Daniel traveled to a neighboring country. He continued his ministry and now leads a growing church.
A baptism and a restored relationship
Recently, Daniel had some news to share. After several years of not seeing his father, Daniel decided to come for a visit in 2018. When his father arrived, a large baptism ceremony was underway in the church. Daniel's father watched as a large group of Iranians were baptized.
Afterwards, he ate with those from the church. Those who had been baptized were in charge of serving the food. Daniel tells us in amazement: "Before, my father wouldn't even let me give him a glass of water because I was 'unclean' and now he sat and enjoyed the food served by former Muslims who had been baptized".

That night, Daniel's father asked him a question: "What do you mean when you say 'Son of God'?" Daniel replied. With a small smile, his father said: "I was wrong. Will you pray for me?". Their relationship is now restored.
You can stand with the persecuted but brave Christians and hand them New Testaments - to give to people who long to read about God's love. It costs DKK 40 to ensure that a copy of the New Testament is smuggled into Iran or neighboring countries where Iranians also live.
