A group of around 150 Christians were reportedly arrested on November 10 by security forces during a raid on a prayer meeting in a suburb of Asmara, the country's capital.
Apparently, the Christians, who belong to the underground church "Living God", gathered to pray for the country's refugee crisis and other national issues.
In an earlier incident in August, 30 members of the Church of the Living God were arrested for gathering and praying in the town of Kushet.
Ask for it:
- the Christians must be released from custody
- that they will be strong in faith and continue to trust in the Lord during this difficult time
- that they must be safe during their stay in prison
- Christians across Eritrea who are in prison must put their trust in Jesus.
