Almost two weeks ago, 52 Christians lost their lives in a massacre at a church service in Baghdad, Iraq. Subsequently, at least four Christians have been killed in separate bombings in Iraq and some have labeled the incidents as waves of bombings against Christians in Baghdad. An Al-Qaeda group has said that Christians everywhere are legitimate targets.

One of our partners in the Middle East has written to Danish European Mission: "Some Christians think that it is only a matter of time before the same thing happens in the rest of the Arab world, but we don't know if this will happen and of course trust the Lord to protect us. Please continue to pray for everyone affected by this difficult situation. Most of all, pray for the encouragement of the Christians in the region and that they remain firm in the faith."
