Afghanistan
Medical care for the poor
- Afghanistan is one of the world's poorest countries, where Christians face severe persecution. In 2015, donors to the Danish European Mission ensured that 1,391 poor Afghans could receive free medical treatment.
The Arabian Peninsula
- A Christian convert had to flee the Arabian Peninsula when he was in danger. He fled to Uganda where he could study theology. The Danish European Mission supported the man by providing him with a car for transportation. The man was disabled and had no other option than to ask for help to finance a means of transportation.

Bible smuggling and translation and help for vulnerable women
- Support has been given to smuggle the Word of God into a closed country. The number of books is 1845 and consists of Bibles, Bible parts, children's Bibles and children's Bible parts.
- Support for the development of a Bible smuggling system.
- Practical support for Christian prisoners of conscience.
- Supporting the translation of the Bible into two languages in the Muslim world so that two communities can read the Bible in their native language.
- Support for women who have been victims of domestic violence, prostitutes and trafficked. With support from the Danish European Mission's donors, local Christians run a shelter and job training center where the women can receive counseling, medical and legal assistance if needed. They also receive training in areas such as sewing, jewelry making, cooking in cafes and cateringcompaniesSo. of can monetize themselves in a positive way in the future.
- Support for key leaders in the persecuted church to meet and coordinate work together with the Danish European Mission.
- Self-help project in a closed country to help poor and persecuted Christians start their own business and become self-sufficient.
- Support for Christian women's conference in Muslim country.
Advocacy
- Financial support for the pastor of the persecuted Church of Central Asia to speak on behalf of Christians in his country at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) annual human rights conference.
- Financial support for a Christian lawyer from an Asian country to represent Christians in his country at UN Human Rights Council meetings in Geneva.
India
Help for children in care and vulnerable women
- Danish European Mission donors supported an orphanage in India. The support went towards medicine, food, education and clothing for 44 children living in the orphanage.
- In addition, 120 vulnerable women in India received training. The project focused on empowering marginalized Christian women through training in skills such as sewing and computer use, and through holistic counseling to ensure that participants can go out and empower other suffering women in the community.
Iran
- Danish European Mission helped print and distribute 8,600 copies of the New Testament in Iran. Iran's underground church is growing and the demand for God's Word continues. Iranian Christians face very real persecution, but will not renounce their faith.
Kazakhstan
Helping the poor, theological education and rehabilitation work
- In 2015, 1060 bags of hope containing food were distributed to vulnerable families in Kazakhstan. The distribution takes place weekly and helps bridge the gap between the church and the residents of a vulnerable neighborhood.
- In 2015, Danish European Mission donors ensured that 13 pastors received theological education. The education is important for the Christians in Kazakhstan, as the church is young and needs good and solid teachers, so that the baton of faith can be safely passed on to the next generation.
- Back in 2013, support was also given to Christian rehabilitation work among drug addicts, alcoholics and homeless people in a part of Kazakhstan that is characterized by great social need. At the time, the center received support for the purchase of 25 sheep and the population grew to over 120 in 2015. The sheep provide food for the residents of the rehabilitation center.
Kyrgyzstan
- Danish European Mission donors provided financial support for eight girls to stay at Egehuset, a home for former orphans who have no family to live with when they can no longer live in state-run orphanages. At Egehuset, local Christians care for them and encourage the 8 girls to complete secondary education, as well as socially equipping them to function in society. Several of the girls have come to faith in Jesus through their participation in the project.
- In 2015, Egehuset also received help to refurbish the home, including new furniture.
Middle East
Media mission in the Middle East
- The Danish European Mission's donors ensured that SAT-7's work of evangelizing via radio and TV could be further expanded. SAT-7 works in 25 countries and has the potential to reach 400 million people with the gospel.
Pakistan
- 54 boys and girls, from poor families in Pakistan's Christian minority, have been given the opportunity to complete 9th and 10th grade thanks to donations from the Danish European Mission. Through schooling, the children will be able to get an education in the future and support themselves and their families.
Sri Lanka
- Danish European Mission donors ensured that persecuted Christians received legal aid and legal representation in a variety of cases.
- 3740 Bibles were distributed among poor rural Christians who cannot afford a Bible themselves.
- 51 poor families, mainly pastoralist families, received self-help assistance so they could generate their own income. The help can consist of a cow whose milk they can sell, chickens whose eggs can be sold, goats that can be bred and whose milk can be sold, chickens whose eggs can be sold or help to open a small shop.
Syria and Iraq
- In 2015, donors to the Danish European Mission ensured that 6475 people in Syria displaced by Islamic State received emergency aid in the form of food, medicine, warm blankets, clothes, shoes, mattresses and fuel every 14 days.
- In addition, 5,985 people in Iraq displaced by the Islamic State received emergency aid every 14 days in the form of food, medicine, warm blankets, clothes, shoes, mattresses and fuel.
- 2,125 children and young people were able to receive schooling and education in 2015 in Iraq and Syria in 11 different locations.
