Iranian Christians ask for our prayers for three Christian converts who were arrested on September 5 at a prayer meeting in the city of Rasht and then transferred to an unknown location. This is according to Danish European Mission's partners Middle East Concern.

It was around 10pm and a group of converted Christians had gathered for prayers when intelligence agents interrupted the meeting and arrested Morteza Mashhoudkari, Ayoub PourRezazade and Ahmad Sarparast. They have now been taken to an unknown location where they are expected to be interrogated.

Iranian Christians ask for our prayers for:

  • That God will strengthen and encourage Morteza, Ayoub and Ahmad and give them wisdom to answer the interrogators.
  • That their friends and family will feel God's peace despite concerns for their well-being and lack of information about their location.
  • That the Iranian authorities will stop the persecution of Christian converts and other religious minorities for the peaceful practice of their faith.
