Reza Zaeemi is a Christian convert from the city of Karaj in northern Iran.

On January 25, Reza was sentenced to 18 months in prison for "propaganda against the Islamic Republic by promoting evangelical Christianity". He was also sentenced to a two-year travel ban. According to Danish European Mission's partner, Middle East Concern.

At an appeal hearing on April 25, the conviction was upheld, but the prison sentence was reduced to nine months.

Thank you for requesting that:

  • God will strengthen and prepare Reza as he waits to serve his prison sentence.
  • the Iranian authorities will not consider evangelical Christianity a threat to the regime.
