"Like the pine tree that never changes color even when buried in snow, we will never lose our faith even if our bones are crushed and turned to ashes."
"Our leaders and believers are doing their best to quickly and safely distribute the aid we receive... we will continue to distribute different types of medicine to our believers (...)."
"(...) no matter how hard the ordinary people try to survive, we see no signs of hope in our society."
"Most people live every day in fear of being labeled a political enemy (and traitor) and sent to prison because of a careless remark or action misinterpreted by others. Hidden behind the glittering decoration of Pyongyang are hunger, poverty, disease and fear."
Persecuted North Korean Christians live every day with the threat of imprisonment, torture and public executions. They are considered criminals in the country as the official ideology only allows citizens to worship Kim Jong Il, Kim II Sung and Kim Jong-un.
There are an estimated 400,000 Christians in North Korea. Of these, it is estimated that between 40,000 and 60,000 are in political prison camps.
The health situation in the country is catastrophic, and diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria are widespread. Many suffer from life-threatening diseases due to the lack of medicine.
You can help persecuted Christians in the midst of their hardships. There are people willing to risk their lives to smuggle life-saving medicine to the persecuted church in North Korea, but they need your donation to do this dangerous work.
Thank you for enveloping our Christian brothers and sisters in prayer. Thank you for giving them the help they so desperately need this Christmas.
