A 74-year-old disabled Christian woman from Tashkent named Nina Chashina is at risk of prosecution after police searched her home, seized literature and beat her neighbor. Police refused to let doctors take the neighbor to hospital after she suffered an epileptic seizure, Christians told Forum 18 News Service, which the Danish European Mission co-founded and is involved in managing.

Elsewhere in Uzbekistan, people have been fined for religious activity, including a family man who was punished for singing Christian songs in his own home with his wife and children and a family friend.
