Christian prisoner Farshid Fathi has written a Christmas greeting from his prison in Iran. He has been unjustly imprisoned for his faith since December 26, 2010.

The touching Christmas letter reads as follows:

In this prison there is no sign of the beauty of Christmas, but with ears of faith I can hear the eternal and beautiful truth: "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and she shall call his name Immanuel."

And more than ever I feel that he is with us, with me and my children, with me and with my faithful friends who share my sorrows and are not ashamed of my sorrows.

In 2015, which I have called the year of victory, may God carry you victoriously forward and spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him, because we are called to be free.

Merry Christmas

Your imprisoned brother who is free in Christ

(December 2014)
