Emergency help for Christians at risk of harassment, discrimination and persecution

Help for Iranian Christians in need

Last year, two Christian brothers Hamed and Mohammed* had their toes amputated due to severe frostbite. It was a high price to pay for their escape from Iran across the dangerous mountain border into Turkey.

Our partner met the two men in a small Turkish hospital and immediately paid for their treatment. Our partner gave the boys pastoral care and arranged for them to be transferred to a better hospital. The brothers and their family have since become committed members of one of the Elam Iranian churches in Turkey.

The Danish European Mission is committed to helping Iranians with practical support. Our brothers and sisters face many dangers and problems in Iran simply because they are Christians. Our partner is trying to meet their many needs, including:

  • - Medical care for those who are sick or injured.
  • - Help paying rent for families whose breadwinner has been fired because of their faith.
  • - Counseling and spiritual guidance for those who have been mentally or physically abused.
  • - Providing shelter, food and clothing to those who have fled persecution in Iran.
  • - Advocacy for those trying to get through the difficult process of registering as a refugee with UNCHR (UN Refugee Agency)

We pray for an opportunity to expand the work in these areas and thank God for your support in this important work.
