Both locally and globally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When we hear about people who are starving, suffering, persecuted or exposed to other injustices, we don't ask if they<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e are Christians before we make up our minds. When Christians<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> freedoms<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> will be curtailed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> out in the big world, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">we do not retaliate<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> by restricting non-Christians<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> freedoms at home in Denmark. Hopefully<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Not in any case.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> True solidarity and the fight for rights includes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> namely<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Also those<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">who are different from us<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">None of them<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> can<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of course<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> help everyone<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> all at once<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Some <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has a special heart<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">workers'<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> rights<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> i <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Central America<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, others <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> conditions of Christian minorities in <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Middle East and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Central Asia<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">But the starting point<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">must always<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> be that a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">All people are worth the same<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fortunately, the church is an important testimony to this in many places.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For example, n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When a church in a famine area distributes food and water to all people - not just Christians<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> The same is true when a Christian organization throws itself into the fight<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for the freedom of belief of all people - not just Christians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mange <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">places in the world <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">there is a huge need to see and experience<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that you can have a strong point of view and at the same time <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">respect and show solidarity over<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">for those who have a different point of view.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> In my opinion, the church and church organizations are in a really good position to contribute to this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"TextRun SCXW94415685 BCX4\" lang=\"DA-DK\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW94415685 BCX4\">Daniel Toft Jakobsen is a member of the Danish Parliament<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW94415685 BCX4\" lang=\"DA-DK\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW94415685 BCX4\"> for the Social Democratic Party and works with freedom of religion for all, including persecuted Christians.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus says in Matthew 5:46-47: \"If you love only those who love you, what reward can you expect?
