Missionaries<\/span>,<\/span> who worked in Iran until the Islamic Revolution in 1979<\/span>,<\/span> so often<\/span> only a few Iranians convert<\/span>e<\/span> from Islam to the Christian faith<\/span>. But through their faithfulness, they planted seeds that bear fruit today<\/span>that the research actually deals with. <\/span>PhD. <\/span>Duane<\/span> Alexander Miller estimate<\/span>down<\/span>,<\/span> that up to 500,000 Muslims may have become Christians in Iran, while Professor of Religious Freedom, Thomas <\/span>Harness maker<\/span>, assesses<\/span> The number is even higher.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"<\/span><\/b>But I collect stones<\/span><\/b>\"<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

Henry Martyn translated the first<\/span> Persian <\/span>edition of the<\/span> N<\/span>ye<\/span> Testament in the early 1800s.<\/span><\/a> He died alone on October 16, 1812<\/span> and <\/span>had <\/span>only <\/span>set <\/span>\u00e9<\/span>n person <\/span>Become a Christian<\/span>. M<\/span>and<\/span> i<\/span> Faith said: \"Even if I should never see one. <\/span>native repent<\/span>God can <\/span>encourage future missionaries through <\/span>the<\/span> faithfulness and perseverance<\/span>,<\/span> He has created me with<\/span>.\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Another missionary was R<\/span>obert Bruce<\/span>the<\/span> i 1869 <\/span>left Scotland <\/span>and settled in I<\/span>sfahan. He saw <\/span>almost none either <\/span>fruit of<\/span> his work<\/span>but a letter <\/span>to <\/span>his<\/span> support<\/span> showed that he<\/span> Anyway<\/span> saw a <\/span>Spiritual meaning of his work<\/span>:<\/span> \"<\/span>I do not harvest<\/span>,<\/span> And I can barely claim to plant seeds. I hardly plow the ground. But I do collect stones.\"<\/span><\/p>\n

During the <\/span>the following<\/span> decades<\/span> came more<\/span> Missionaries to Iran<\/span>, <\/span>Among others.<\/span> and<\/span> American missionary couple, Mark and Gladys <\/span>Bliss<\/span> and<\/span> their three young children<\/span>,<\/span> In the 1960s<\/span>. The<\/span> traveled <\/span>around the <\/span>the country and encouraged believers.<\/span> October 25, 1969 <\/span>they experienced a <\/span>tragedy<\/span>when all their children were killed in<\/span> A car accident. <\/span>While the <\/span>ensured<\/span>,<\/span> bath <\/span>Mark<\/span> and <\/span>heartbreaking <\/span>prayer in<\/span> faith<\/span> and said to God: \"<\/span>We plant three seeds for one<\/span> Fall in Iran.<\/span>\"<\/span><\/p>\n

From Denmark were among others<\/span>re<\/span> Leif Munksgaard<\/span> from 1975<\/span> sent by the Danish Mission Society to Isfahan with his wife Lis and their four children. Leif Munksgaard's work<\/span>of<\/span> i <\/span>and <\/span>bookshop<\/span>el, where, among other things, Bibles and Christian books were sold,<\/span> and helped build the Iranian Literature Society in Teh<\/span>e<\/span>ran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kerman and Ahwaz. Lis was involved in the Anglican Church's Sunday school work. <\/span>The priests of the church were converts with different ba<\/span>g<\/span>reasons <\/span>-<\/span> Islam, Judaism and <\/span>zara<\/span>thustrism<\/span>.<\/span>Families<\/span> returned to Denmark in 1979 because of the revolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prayer for revival eight hours every day<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

In the late 1960s<\/span> felt<\/span> and<\/span> American<\/span>sk <\/span>Missionary couple, Dick and Shan <\/span>Dryer<\/span>,<\/span> feel called to pray for revival <\/span>in Iran <\/span>eight hours every day: \"The Lord said.<\/span>,<\/span> he<\/span> wanted us to pray eight hours a day, seven<\/span> days a week, from December 21, 1967 to<\/span> He told us to stop.\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span>t<\/span> did <\/span>paired<\/span> faithfully every day for four<\/span> Months<\/span>.<\/span> Not long after <\/span>could <\/span>Dick<\/span> disgusting<\/span> a young<\/span> businessman<\/span>, Reza,<\/span> to <\/span>Faith in Jesus<\/span>. He was among the <\/span>Before the revolution<\/span> almost 500 Christians with a Muslim background and <\/span>founded<\/span> later<\/span> Danish European Mission partner<\/span>organization<\/span>,<\/span> Elam<\/span>, together <\/span>with Sam <\/span>Yeghnazar<\/span>.<\/span> For a number of years, Danish European Mission donors have supported Reza<\/span>, <\/span>Sam<\/span> and the <\/span>other<\/span> employees in <\/span>to smuggle the New Testament and <\/span>B<\/span>ible<\/span>n<\/span> into Iran so that even more people can encounter the love of God in Jesus Christ.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These missionaries - and many others - became role models for the new believers in Iran, so <\/span>heartfelt<\/span> prayer and courage<\/span> evangelism<\/span>ation<\/span> became part of the <\/span>The Persian<\/span>e<\/span> The DNA of the Convert Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>The pursuit of the ninth followed <\/span>In the wake of the <\/span>the Islamic revolution in<\/span> 1979<\/span>. Many have been in prison<\/span>,<\/span> and eight church leaders <\/span>the<\/span>d<\/span> martyrdom<\/span> until 2005<\/span> -<\/span> but<\/span> the big one<\/span> church growth has confirmed Augustine's words that the blood of martyrs is the seed of the church<\/span>. However, the conversions must<\/span> in some cases also seen as a backlash against clergy rule<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

D<\/span>e<\/span>n Christian faith <\/span>bowl <\/span>Maybe already<\/span> to Iran after Pentecost, as Acts chapter 2 says that the Iranian tribes <\/span>parthere<\/span>, <\/span>bring<\/span> and elamites<\/span> listened to Peter's sermon. Perhaps they have taken the message <\/span>with <\/span>Back to Iran<\/span>. F<\/span>from the second century, credible historical sources tell us<\/span> In any case<\/span>that there was a church in Iran.<\/span> Traditional ethnic Christian groups such as Assyrians, Armenians and <\/span>Chaldeans<\/span> had and still has large congregations in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

K<\/span>irks <\/span>experience <\/span>A resurgence in Iran<\/span> In these years<\/span>,<\/span> but <\/span>the convert church<\/span> stands on the shoulders of Christians<\/span>,<\/span> who obeyed God's call and traveled as missionaries and Christians<\/span>,<\/span> the <\/span>prayed for them<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
