Danish European Mission strives to ensure that as much of the funds collected go directly into projects that benefit the persecuted church<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you make an earmarked gift to one of our projects, 95% of the gift goes to the project you earmarked the gift for, while 5% contributes to the costs of project supervision, information work, bookkeeping and auditing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you make a non-earmarked gift to the work of the Danish European Mission, a small portion is used for projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Low labor costs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over the past 10 years, the number of employees at the Danish European Mission's secretariat in Denmark has been reduced. The goal of reducing salary costs in Denmark is to ensure that the largest possible share of the funds raised is transferred to projects that benefit persecuted Christians and the spread of the Gospel. In the projects we support, local employees are employed to carry out the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, nine people are employed in Denmark. Some are employed part-time, so converted to full-time employees, 4.3 FTEs were employed in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decreasing office expenses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Danish European Mission is continuously working to streamline the operation of the mission's activities, which is one of the reasons why the well-known large villa at \u00d8sterhegn 26 in Bagsv\u00e6rd was sold in 2012. This saved costs for the maintenance of the now older villa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also a property many people know, as it was the setting for the mission's work during the Cold War, when the Danish European Mission - often in the face of domestic political headwinds - drew attention to the persecution of Christians in the Eastern Bloc. In addition, many young Christians have lived in the Christian collective on the first floor of the villa. Many initiatives have originated from this place - to help persecuted Christians and spread the gospel in countries that are closed to traditional missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How is it monitored that your gift is used in accordance with the purpose?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fundraising is a big responsibility to take on. The fundamental and crucial evaluation question we ask is whether our donors' gifts are used in accordance with the purpose for which they were given. If a person gives a gift to, for example, emergency aid for Christians and others in need in Syria, the gift must be used for that purpose. It is as simple as that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spend a lot of time selecting local project partners that we can trust. The identification of the right project partners is based on a number of parameters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
